find the answers to clues while you walk
From 3:45 TEA, CAKES & A NATTER at Foxton church
4:00 to 5:30 RING at Foxton (6 bells, 14 cwt)
➢ The walk distance is 1½ to 2½ miles depending which route you take, all on
good paths around the locks and the inclined plane (instructions will be given).
➢ Parking in Foxton village can be difficult. There are a few spaces outside the
church and along Swingbridge Street (which runs along the front of the
church). Otherwise, there is usually space on Main Street, down the hill and
over the canal bridge. There is (paid) parking both at the bottom lock (½ km)
and by the bridge above the locks (1¼ miles), but these are quite a distance
from the church.
It would be useful to know approximate numbers, so if you intend coming can
you please let Andrew Young (amjyoung2-at-gmail.com). However, do feel free to
come along on the day, even if you have not let me know – the more the merrier.
