Back in January a first and third Saturday of the month evening Caters/Royal practice was started up at St Mary De Castro by Lewis Benfield, with the intention that this would help people make the move up from 8 bell ringing to 10 bell ringing and hopefully be a stepping stone on to 12 bell ringing.  We regularly ring Grandsire Caters, Stedman Caters, Little Bob Royal, Yorkshire and Cambridge S Royal and now we are working at a few leads of Bristol S Royal.  With St Mary De Castro now out of action for the foreseeable future, the practice has moved to St Margaret’s with the possibility of having ‘away’ practices at other Leicestershire 10 bell towers (we already have an invite to Sapcote) when St Margaret’s is not available.
