There is a LDG rope store held at St Andrew’s church in Twyford , Melton District – this was opened in 2017 and took donations of ropes that were suitable for reuse from around Leicestershire into a central repository to enable us to make better use of this resource as they are available to the whole LDG rather than just the tower that they are kept in as spares.
Since this opened I have reallocated 25 ropes, many of them just recently as towers have started ringing after the pandemic and found that ropes have deteriorated.
I am looking for some more ropes for the store now so if anyone has any spare ropes that are suitable for reuse that they would like to donate to the rope store contact Pete Brown on melton@leicesterdg.org.uk
If you ever need a spare rope contact Pete to see if the rope store can help you out – details are on the website whenever you need them! https://leicesterdg.org.uk/resources/rope-store/
