Interesting after dinner speakers
A dash of fun and games
And, of course, some bellringing

Method
This year saw another fantastic Guild dinner, ably organised by Carol and held at the Leicestershire County Cricket Club. Mick Angrave once again took up his role as our major domo, introducing the speakers for the evening.
Revd Canon Emma Davies answered the toast to the church, speaking on the relationship between bells and the church; Lesley Belcher, outgoing Chair of ART, the guest speaker, told of her Leicestershire roots; and Sally Brown speaking on behalf of the Guild, described her badge selling journey.

Entertainment was provided for the youngsters (and young at heart) in the form of giant jenga:

There was also a raffle, with tickets being sold by Ayesha and Eliza.

And it wouldn’t be a bellringers’ dinner with some ringing of some kind. The guest speaker was joined by the president, and equally eminent ringers Lewis Benfield and Terry Astill in 3 leads of Kent Major on handbells.
The handbells were later used by a scratch band ringing some tunes. And whilst thanking the Cricket club staff for their attentive service at dinner, Sally managed to persuade the young wait staff to have a go at ringing the handbells, and they succeeded in ringing plain hunt 12 using the lapping technique.

I think its safe to say we all had a great time throughout the evening, we even had time for a last photo call as the last of us were leaving.
