October Newsletter 2025

Welcome to the October Newsletter, bringing to you news and information about all aspects of bells and bellringing in Leicestershire.

In this issue we see the results of two very different bell projects – the installation of the Hope bell in Queen’s Park Loughborough; and also the rehang and augmentation of the bells, and the new training facility at Harby.

Speaking of training, many thanks to those of you who sent me your insights on how the Guild training course went. It sounds as though, as usual, the course was an excellent opportunity for some intense learning.

We also have our usual articles, including the round up of firsts from Bellboard, with a good selection of first quarter pealers – well done everyone!

You may have noticed this issue of the newsletter is a little more slender than usual. I rely on you, the everyday ringer, to send me articles. If you have anything you would like to be included in the newsletter, please email me at newsletter@leicesterdg.org.uk. The next issue will be out in January.
