There are also proposed ‘all-day’ events, perhaps during half-term or on a Saturday. These may be in the form of practicing ringing for a quarter peal, or a local area outing. Details to be arranged.
The Foundry Foxes Young Ringers group is open to any young ringer in the Leicestershire area. Please see the web page or contact Howell for more information. https://leicesterdg.org.uk/training/foundry-foxes/
Peal at Oaks in Charnwood
A clip from the Peal at Oaks in Charnwood. This peal was specially arranged as a tribute to Alan and Hazel Jacques on what would have been their Platinum Wedding Anniversary.
Immediately prior to the peal, their ashes were interred at The Oaks where they had both been members of the band. Many friends and family gathered to listen to the ringing and to reminisce about happy times spent with Alan and Hazel.
Website Update
A new feature has been added to the website – on the Towers page we now have more filters for the search.
You can now search by district, number of bells, practice night, toilet facilities, and access to ringing room, as well as the existing alphabetical or name search features.
Just click on “More Filters” to drop down the filter list.
Please note, that the tower database is not complete for the information about toilet facilities and access to the ringing room. You can help to improve our database by letting us know this information. Please contact the webmaster here: https://leicesterdg.org.uk/website-feedback/
