Phil reached 90 on the 15^th December!  To celebrate this important event, many of his ringing friends convened at St Michael and All Angels Diseworth the day before to ring with him and enjoy an excellent ringers’ tea.  Phil mentioned that it would be nice to ring a quarter peal to celebrate and he thought he was still up to it.  We had no doubt about this and so it proved – we rang an excellent quarter at Coleorton the following Monday with Phil on the tenor.
