The Ladies Guild of Change Ringers exists to encourage and support women to develop their ringing ability, in a friendly and supportive environment.
Until 2023 there was an East Midlands district, and there is interest from some ladies to restart it.
On the recent Ladies Guild Holiday in Derby, I met several women who were interested in being members, but there is now no district for them to join. The gap is in Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire, so I am writing to ask you if you would be interested in joining us if we were to start up again in the East Midlands.
Activities would include training sessions, outings, lunches, and general ringing for all abilities. Having been a member of the Western District until I moved to Lincolnshire, I can vouch that they are good fun and welcoming, and there are many friendships to be made.
