Bells across Leicestershire sounded out on 6th June, joining with the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the D Day Landings.

At 6pm on Thursday 6th June 2024 ringers from Aylestone, Enderby, Knighton, Narborough, South Wigston and Wigston Magna, gathered at All Saints church, Wigston Magna to ring the bells to commemorate D-Day + 80 years. We chose to ring at All Saints so that Richard Clarke, tower captain for many years there could hear his bells ringing out for this historic event and as a 90th birthday compliment to him.
We will remember them.
