Three new recruits at Kirby Muxloe have successfully completed learning the ropes level 1 – bell handling. Aoife’s first lesson was New Year’s Eve 2022 and has also progressed to complete level 2! Michael made contact following the national recruitment drive for ‘Ring for the King’ and started along with Nick in February 2023. Nick, being handy with pigeons, expressed interest following assistance rehoming pigeons that had made home in the tower following lockdown. He soon became acquainted with the very tight spaces around the bells at Kirby!! All three rang for the King’s Coronation in May. This session finished with all three ringing together, a significant moment showing great progress following lots of practicing!
